Open Your Business Bank Account

Open your bank account. You will normally need to have your FEIN or EIN and your business registered with the state before you can do this. Once you have those, then go to the bank of your choice to open a business checking account. Many banks, especially credit unions, offer free business checking accounts. Some are even interest-bearing accounts. So, be sure to inquire about the bank’s offerings for business accounts and what they have in the way of merchant accounts so that you can accept credit cards through them if you choose to.  You might also be able to accept payments through your website using the merchant accounts like we do with WooCommerce, that are compatible with your software, or through your accounting software such as with QuickBooks or Sage Software.
